If you didn’t get a chance to pitch your story to Harlequin at the 2020 RSJ Virtual Romance Book Con, it is not too late; you still have a chance. Harlequin Intrigue, Harlequin Romantic Suspense, and Love Inspired Suspense editors will be monitoring the #SuspenseIncludesYou hashtag on Twitter for book pitches from own voices authors.

Whether it’s a nail-biting thriller, a faith-filled suspenseful romance, or a passionate love story during a crisis, Harlequin is looking for suspenseful books from authors in underrepresented groups that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. This may be your chance to get your story published by a major publishing house. Your window of opportunity is coming soon, so get ready, be ready and, pitch your story.

Here’s what you should do:

  1. Post your book pitch on Twitter with the following hashtag, #SuspenseIncludesYou on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, from 8 am EST to 6 pm EST and . . .
  2. Add a hashtag for #HarlequinIntrigue, #HarlequinRomanticSuspense, or #LoveInspiredSuspense to let Harlequin know which suspense series you’re targeting.
  3. If an editor gives you a “Like,” that’s your cue to send your first chapter and story synopsis to Harlequin.Submittable.com with the subject line: “Suspense Includes You.”
